Simple complaints can easily become major issues when a customer and a retailer disagree. And sometimes further complications are added when a manufacturer becomes involved. A clear, unbiased report from a qualified and experienced independent expert can make all the difference.
If you're not sure whether it's worth pursuing your complaint please contact me and I'll be happy to advise you without obligation and without charge.
I've given evidence in a large number of Court cases covering a wide range of issues from product faults to pricing, copyright infringement to bad installation. I work within the guidelines of the Civil Procedure Rules which oblige me to give my independent opinion based on my knowledge and experience regardless of whether I'm being paid by a consumer or a business. Most issues I become involved with are settled at an earlier stage because of the quality and clarity of my reports.
Trained in all aspects of furniture making, I've worked in furnishings retail and manufacturing companies. I also set up the National Conciliation Service for Qualitas Furnishing Standards (now the Furniture Ombudsman) and investigated and resolved difficult complaints independently, working closely with Trading Standards and other consumer organisations to ensure fairness and impartiality.
I've carried out more than 3,000 inspections over more than 27 years for consumers, retailers, manufacturers, Trading Standards, solicitors and the Courts. I've been to homes, offices, schools, factories, warehouses and storage units. I've also appeared on various consumer TV programmes such as "Don't get done, get Dom" (BBC).
